TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

ProsToYou Tennis is looking for multiple outgoing and experienced tennis professionals to join our growing and enthusiastic team! ProsToYou Tennis is a Maryland and Virginia based outdoor tennis program that offers classes to juniors and adults of all ages across the board from afterschool programming to youth/adult clinics, camps and private lessons throughout our locations in Montgomery County, Maryland and Northern Virginia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth in a professional manner.

 

Punctuality - Attend agreed upon work schedule through duration of assigned programming.

 

Deliver excellent customer service with constructive feedback to players for technical, tactical, and mental growth, while communicating effectively with players, parents, and colleagues.

 

Monitor player progress while tracking performance metrics to assess skill development as well as identify areas for improvement.

 

Organize and implement practice sessions, drills, as well as competitive play opportunities in a group setting for players.

 

Adhere to safety protocols ensuring a safe and supportive playing environment for all participants.

 

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate player schedules and program demands.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Must have experience playing the sport and understand the basic fundamentals and skills

 

Prior knowledge of skill development a plus

 

Must have high energy and a passion for the sport while driven to help others

 

Candidates must be professional, responsible, team oriented, motivated, and inspired to coach

 

Certification from recognized agencies (PTR, USPTA, ITF) or willingness to attain/maintain

 

CPR/AED certification required within the first 90 days of hire

 

Must have reliable transportation and mobile phone

 

Ability to stand, demonstrate tennis strokes on-court, and participate in on-court activities for extended periods.

 

Ability to lift and carry tennis equipment as well as supplies as needed.

SUMMER CAMP SITE DIRECTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION


Campers age: 4- 12 years old

Activities include: Tennis, Pickleball, non instructional swimming, arts and crafts, recreational team games. 

*Tennis experience is not necessary but welcome.


Your Team: Coach, Counselors, Junior Counselors

Your Supervisors: General Manager and Director of Operations.

Schedule: Expected hours: 35 – 40+ per week. Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4pm - Extended hours are 7am - 8am; 4pm - 6pm

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Leadership & Supervision:

Provide leadership, direction, and support to camp staff, ensuring alignment with camp goals and policies. Foster a positive and diverse camp environment. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate camp counselors, activity specialists, and support staff.

Program Implementation:

Oversee the planning and execution of camp activities, ensuring a diverse and enriching program. Adapt programming as needed to accommodate camper needs and unforeseen circumstances. Ensure programs are aligned with camp objectives and meet the developmental needs of campers.


Camper Safety & Welfare:

Maintain a safe and healthy camp environment by enforcing policies and procedures. Manage camper behavior and ensure adherence to camp rules and guidelines. Respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies, following established protocols.


Parent & Community Engagement:

Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally. Communicate camp updates, policies, and procedures effectively.


Operations Management:

Manage daily site logistics, including monitoring staff scheduling, supply inventory, and facility usage. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and staff evaluations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENSATION

  • Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or a related field (preferred)- Teacher assistants/substitutes welcome.
  • Previous experience in camp leadership or youth program management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Committed to enforcing to the cell-phone free policy, powering down and putting away cell phones in a locked pouch. 


Compensation:

Competitive salary based on experience.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
